We are excited to announce the 4^th and final MecaNano General Meeting, taking place in Rome from
27 to 29 April 2026. The meeting will bring together the MecaNano community to share results, align on
next steps, and strengthen collaborations in small-scale mechanical characterization.

Scientific Program

The program will feature traditional sessions on:

• Mechanical size effects and nanoscale deformation mechanisms
• Experimental and simulation investigations (nanoindentation, nanomechanical testing, advanced characterization, atomistic/meso-scale simulations, finite elements; crystalline, amorphous, and hybrid materials)
• Management of research data in materials science
• Machine learning applications related to the above topics

Regular talks are 20 minutes including Q&A. Posters are A0, portrait orientation preferred.

The meeting is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. Please note that
submitting an abstract does not constitute registration. Register via the conference website.
