General Meetings (GM) bring together all the members of the Action every year, as well as in a concluding meeting at the very end of the Action. This will be the opportunity for the workgroups to share their results with the wider network. YRIs, including students in the early stage of their PhD, will be encouraged to present in front of the community, while world-recognized experts will be invited to give keynote lectures.
These meetings will also emphasize basic knowledge in key disciplines linked to the network activities (rheology of materials, crystallography, mechanical testing, electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, tomography, synthesis, molecular dynamics, digital image correlation, machine learning….).

We are excited to announce that the MecaNano 4th General Meeting will be held again in 2026! This year, the event will take place from April 27th to 29th at the Università degli Studi Roma Tre, Department of Civil, Computer Science and Aeronautical Technologies Engineering, Rome, Italy.
The local organizers for this event are Edoardo Rossi and Marco Sebastiani.

Third MecaNano’s General Meeting, Krakow, May 19-21, 2025
We are excited to announce that the MecaNano 3rd General Meeting was held from May 19th to 21st at the Academic Center for Materials and Nanotechnology, AGH University of Krakow, Poland.
The local organizers for this event were Wiktor Bednarczyk, Piotr Bała, Grzegorz Cios, and Anna Smyk.
Abstract submission opened 14. February, and registration was in late February.

Second MecaNano General Meeting – Vienna May 1-3, 2024
The MecaNano General Meeting 2024 was held in Vienna, Austria from 1st-3rd of May. The Technical University of Vienna (TU Wien) hosted MecaNano in their Festsaal and Boecklsaal in the heart of Vienna!
A similar program to the 1st General Meeting with presentation and posters is was organized. Abstract submission will opened 1st January 2024 and registration will opened in early February 2024.

THE FIRST MECANANO GENERAL MEETING
The first General meeting was held on 26th and 27th of April, 2023 at IMDEA Madrid, with Jon Molina and his team as local organizers.
IMDEA Materials Institute is located at the Scientific and Technological Park of the Polytechnic University of Madrid in Tecnogetafe.
