Application for Permanent CNRS position (staff scientist)

CNRS is funding several permanent research scientist positions (“Chargé de Recherche”) each year through a nation-wide application.

This year one these positions is really targeting physics-related themes in the field of materials science and our lab has a better chance to host it.

We are therefore looking for a good candidate (M/F) interested in mechanical properties-microstructure relationship in crystalline materials. Some knowledge in electron microscopy and/or machine learning adapted to microscopy and/or micromechanics would be a better fit to elaborate a common research project with our group (PPM “Physique de la Plasticité et Matallurgie”).

This position is accessible with a doctorate, but several first author publications are usually needed, so post docs or junior group leaders would be favored.
