ITC and YRI Conference Grants for 2026

MecaNano is again launching conference grants for members currently working in an ITC country (Integrated Target Country – see map on the MecaNano homepage) or is considered to be a YRI (Young Researcher & Innovator – less than 40 years old) to attend conferences that are related to MecaNano Topics. This year (2026), the focus will be on the following 3 conferences:

  1. DPG Meeting of the Condensed Matter Section – Session on Advanced Nanomechanics – Accelerating Physics from the bottom up, Dresden, Germany, 8-13 March 2026
  2. Spring E-MRS 2026 – Nano-engineered coatings and thin films: from design to applications (Symp. B) Strasbourg, France, 25-28 May 2026
  3. European Mechanics of Materials Conference (EMMC) – S13: Nanomechanics: experiments and modelling, Florence, Italy, 27-29 May, 2026

If you identify as ITC or YRI and your abstract is submitted/accepted to any of these conferences (oral for ITC members or poster/oral presentation for YRI) you should apply for a conference grant! Note that abstract approval is mandatory to be refunded. Information on how to apply and the eligibility rules can be found at the MecaNano webpage: CG-call-2026-new3
