Post: MARSS, the annual International Conference on Manipulation, Automation and Robotics at Small Scales, is a non-profit conference run by the microrobotic community and technically supported by IEEE-RAS and IEEE-NTC. MARSS2024 will be held in-person on July 01-05, 2024, in Delft, Netherlands. The conference is the flagship forum to discuss cross-disciplinary activities on 1) manipulation, automation, measurement, and characterization at micro/nano scales, and 2) all kinds of small-scale robots (nm – cm) and their applications.
This year the organizers decided to include a special session on “Manipulation and testing of micro/nanoscale materials”. MARSS conference will thus provide a meeting platform between technologists with manipulation and robotics expertise and the scientific community of small-scale testing utilizing all the different tools ranging from MEMS actuators to in-situ manipulation solutions with embedded sensors. You can refer to the website of the conference for paper submission details (https://marss-conference.org/submission/paper-submission/).
Some important reminders regarding MARSS policy are also attached below:
- MARSS policy does not involve “invited speakers”, each conference participant has to pay the registration fee, including Plenary speakers and Special session speakers;
- MARSS2024 will not accept more than two presentations by the same speaker at the conference with the registration fee covering only one presentation (the second presentation at the conference by the same speaker requires payment of an extra fee).
Special sessions are very important for the MARSS conference as they create new venues for the exchange of ideas and facilitate collaborative work. Your contribution would thus be highly appreciated. Please do not hesitate to let me know, if you have further questions.
